Free Fishing Days for 2023 **No License Required**

Most states offer free fishing days. These are days where anglers are allowed to fish on public bodies of water without a fishing license. National Fishing and Boating Week, a national celebration of fishing and boating, takes place the first week of June every year.

The days for Florida in 2023 are…

  • First consecutive Saturday and Sunday in April (freshwater) April 1-2
  • Second consecutive Saturday and Sunday in June (freshwater) June 3-4
  • First consecutive Saturday and Sunday in June (saltwater) June 3-4
  • First Saturday in September (saltwater) September 2
  • Saturday following Thanksgiving (saltwater) November 25
