If you are looking to fly in or out of the 850, we are here to help with everything you need to know about the Tallahassee International Airport (TLH).
Located just five miles south of downtown and the State Capitol, TLH is the primary gateway to North Florida. While the immediate area surrounding the airport is sparse, you are only a short drive away from the city’s best restaurants and hotels.
Airlines that fly out of Tallahassee International Airport
Tallahassee International (TLH) is currently served by four major carriers: Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, and United Airlines, and soon to be Breeze Airways.
These airlines offer non-stop flights to major hubs like Atlanta, Charlotte, Dallas/Fort Worth, Miami, and Washington D.C., making it easy to connect to international destinations.

How early should I arrive for my flight?
Standard recommendation is to arrive two hours before your scheduled departure. While TLH is a smaller airport and security lines are often quick, don’t let the size fool you. Early morning flights (the 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM block) can see significant lines as business travelers and lobbyists head out of town.
Local Tip: If you aren’t checking bags and have TSA PreCheck, 90 minutes is usually plenty. However, always check the official TLH website for real-time updates.
Should you fly out of an alternative airport?
Sometimes, the “Tally Tax” (higher flight prices) makes it worth looking elsewhere. If you are traveling as a large family, driving 2.5 hours to Jacksonville International (JAX) or 3.5 hours to Northwest Florida Beaches International (ECP) in Panama City can sometimes save you hundreds of dollars.
