About First Presbyterian Church:

We are the “pumpkin patch” church at the intersection of John Knox and Meridian roads, and we are well-known for a tremendous preschool, but there is so much more to our church family.
Faith is a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), a denomination of approximately 2.4 million members, 11,100 congregations and 14,000 ordained and active ministers.
Presbyterians trace their history to the 16th century and the Protestant Reformation. Our heritage, and much of what we believe, began with the French lawyer John Calvin (1509-1564), whose writings crystallized much of the Reformed thinking that came before him.
Faith was founded as a colony of First Presbyterian (Tallahassee) in 1954. While our denomination and congregation are steeped in tradition and history, you will find that we remain relevant for today.
Those who visit our church know us for our inspiring worship with beautiful music, the mission we undertake in our community and world, our dedication to growing in faith with understanding, and our devotion to all those in our church family.
The members of this church are part of a fellowship in which Christ’s Spirit is present and through which He continues His work of redeeming love in the world.
If you are new to Faith or considering a visit, please visit our website, call us @ (850) 385-6151, or EMAIL us for some helpful information. We hope you find this site helpful in getting to know more about us and that it encourages you to worship with us this Sunday.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT: Follow the Path of Christ . . .
. . . into Discipleship. We study God’s word, practice the spiritual disciplines, discover our gifts for ministry, find our vocation, and minister in Christ’s name.
. . . into Christian Community. We are united in the body of Christ, which includes people of all races and nations, ministering to each other and to the world, according to our gifts.
. . . into the future. We learn how to interpret the Bible for our times and endeavor to discern God’s will in an ever-changing world.
We commit ourselves to these purposes with confidence that Christ is the living hope!
