If you love exploring Florida, a Florida State Parks Annual Pass can be a great deal. You can visit again and again without paying the regular day-use entrance fee each time. Even better, there are discounts and FREE passes available for some military families, veterans, foster families and others!
Florida has 175 state parks and trails, with everything from beaches and springs to hiking, fishing, paddling and wildlife viewing. Annual passes can be purchased at participating parks or online.
Florida State Park Annual Pass Prices
Individual Annual Entrance Pass – $60
- Covers day-use entrance for one named passholder.
- Additional guests are generally $2 per person.
- At Homosassa Springs and Weeki Wachee Springs, regular admission rules apply to additional guests.
- The passholder must be present and should be prepared to show photo ID.
Family Annual Entrance Pass – $120
- Covers day-use entrance for up to eight people entering together as a group.
- Up to two people can be listed as named passholders.
- At Homosassa Springs and Weeki Wachee Springs, the pass covers admission for up to two people, including the passholder.
- Provides a 33% admission discount at Skyway Fishing Pier State Park.
What Does the Florida State Parks Annual Pass Cover?
The annual pass replaces the regular day-use entrance fee at Florida State Parks. It’s valid for one year from the month of purchase.
Keep in mind that it doesn’t cover everything. You’ll still pay separately for things like camping, cabins, boat tours, tubing, special events, rentals and other special-use fees. Local surcharges may also apply.
How to Buy a Florida State Parks Annual Pass
You can purchase a pass at Florida State Park ranger stations and museums during regular business hours. It’s a good idea to call ahead to make sure passes are available.
You can also purchase a pass online through Reserve Florida State Parks.
If you’re buying one as a gift, Florida State Parks now allows you to purchase a gift pass online and send the recipient an activation code. The recipient activates the pass through their own Florida State Parks account.
Florida State Park Military Discounts
Florida State Parks offers some really nice military benefits:
- Active-duty military and honorably discharged veterans: Get 25% off an annual entrance pass.
- Honorably discharged veterans with service-connected disabilities: Qualify for a FREE Lifetime Military Entrance Pass.
- Surviving spouses and parents of military members who died in combat: May qualify for a FREE Lifetime Military Entrance Pass.
The free lifetime military passes provide the same entrance benefits as the Family Annual Entrance Pass.
FREE Florida State Park Passes
Military families aren’t the only ones who may qualify for a free pass.
- Veterans with service-connected disabilities: FREE Lifetime Military Entrance Pass.
- Surviving spouses and parents of military members who died in combat: FREE Lifetime Military Entrance Pass.
- Surviving spouses and parents of Florida law enforcement officers and firefighters who died in the line of duty: FREE Lifetime Entrance Pass.

- Families adopting a difficult-to-place child through the Florida Department of Children and Families: One FREE Family Annual Entrance Pass at the time of adoption.
Important: Discounted and free passes must be obtained in person at a Florida State Park with a staffed ranger station. You’ll need documentation showing that you qualify.
Replacing a Lost Florida State Park Pass
Lost your pass? You can get a replacement, but replacements are now handled in person at parks that sell annual passes.
The replacement fee is 25% of the original purchase price — currently $15 for an Individual Pass or $30 for a Family Pass. Bring your original receipt or confirmation email if you have it.
Is a Florida State Parks Annual Pass Worth It?
If you visit Florida State Parks regularly, absolutely do the math. Many staffed parks charge around $5 to $8 per vehicle for day-use admission, so families who visit throughout the year can make good use of the $120 pass pretty quickly.
