There is only one airport IN Tallahassee. The Tallahassee Regional Airport is a public airport owned by the City of Tallahassee and managed by the Leon County Aviation Authority. It serves as a hub for Delta Connection, American Airlines’ Express flights to Chicago O’Hare International Airport, and United Airlines’ services to Washington Dulles International Airport.
The airport is very small. The Tallahassee Memorial Airport terminal has a single significant terminal, with gates and departures on the first floor.

There are currently three different airlines that operate out of the Tallahassee Regional Airport, including Delta Connection, American Airlines’, and Spirit Airlines. These airlines offer a variety of destinations both domestic and international, making it easy for residents of Tallahassee to travel wherever they need to go.
How early should I arrive at Tallahassee Memorial Airport before my flight?
It is generally recommended that you arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight is scheduled to depart. This will give you plenty of time to check in, go through security, and get to your gate on time.
Although the airport is small and normally the lines are short. If you have no check in bags and print your tickets at home, normally an hour or 90 minutes will suffice. I will say the lines are usually much longer first thing in the morning for the 7am flights.

What airports are nearby that you can fly out of instead of Tallahassee?
Tallahassee isn’t the easies to fly out of. Unless you are going to Atlanta, Charlotte, or Miami you will probably have a connection or two. Selecting an airport within driving distance could actually save you time and money.
Some alternative airports that you can fly out of instead of Tallahassee include the Jacksonville International Airport, Orlando International Airport, and Tampa International Airport. These larger airports are better equipped to handle large numbers of travelers and have a wider range of destinations available. Additionally, they are all within driving distance, making it easy to travel between them if necessary.
For example, You can sometimes drive to Jacksonville (2.5 hours away) and catch a flight in less than than it takes to catch a direct flight from Tallahassee. Plus it can be hundreds of dollar cheaper.

Cell Phone Lot
If you are getting picked up your ride can use the Cell Phone Waiting Lot. The lot is comprised of 30 parking spaces; located on the east side of the airport terminal; Open from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
These are FREE OF CHARGE. These enable drivers to pick up arriving passengers by waiting in the designated holding lot, until notified by call or text that they are ready to be picked up. Drivers will be required to remain in their cars, while parked in the lot. Upon receiving notification from arriving passengers, drivers exit the lot, connect with the airport loop road and circle back to the terminal to pick up arrived party.
